Conversion From Other Materials
We offer a variety of rotomolded material configurations and processes from standard polyethylene to multi-layered materials. Many of the products that we manufacture are being converted from other materials such as fiberglass. Converting your product to a rotomolded process can lower your cost and increase your production dramatically.  While we produce rotationally molded parts of all sizes, we do specialize in larger products.  Large parts present unique challenges during the molding and cooling process.  Our expertise in this realm can help to ensure the successful manufacturing of your product.

Creating A Mold
Rotomolding requires a cast or fabricated mold made of steel or aluminum. Since the quality of your rotomolded product is very dependent on the quality of the mold, careful consideration must put into it's design and creation. In some instances, we can produce the mold in-house. For more complex configurations, we have a number of high quality casting houses throughout the country for producing a quality mold.
Depending on your particular products size and shape, the configuration of the mold can help reduce wasted material which cut off in the trimming process. Over the life of the product, reducing the amount of wasted plastic has a very direct impact on the cost of the production.  Let our experience help you benifit you in the creation or conversion of your rotomolded product.

About Rotomolding

Rotational Molding
Rotomolding, also known as rotocasting, works on gravity, slow rotation and heat. A simplified description would be this. Resin powder is loaded into the hollow mold and rotates inside the 500 degree oven for about 25 minutes. The molten resin uniformly coats the inside of the mold and forms the part. The part cools and is trimmed.

Added Features
Mold-in Inserts. One of the benefits of rotomolding is that you can mold threaded inserts directly into the plastic during the process. This allows you to securely add handles or other features to your finished product.

Graphics. You can mold colorful, detailed graphics directly into the plastic. They are extremely durable and permanent.
