The best way for us to provide a quote on a existing product is to look at a real production part. This helps us to see what is going right and wrong during the molding process. By looking at a part we can see the material distribution, shrink, stress points, warping, etc. Please consider sending us a production part for evaluation.
Another good way to evaluate a product is by looking at the mold itself. Production parts can only be as good as the mold from which they are produced. If you have a high quality mold, you should be able to expect high quality parts. Generally, cast aluminum molds produce better quality parts than less expensive fabricated steel molds. We can run either steel or aluminum molds depending on your quality expectations.
New Rotomolded Product Quotes
If you are considering a new product, we can provide a quote off of drawings. 3-D CAD drawings are most helpful and can easily be sent via e-mail. The most common format is Solidworks or IGES files. Simple PDF files will also work if they contain enough information on dimensions. An accurate surface area calculation is important so that we can estimate the "shot weight" and resulting wall thickness.
